The thing that amazed me on the first day we had was the number of stalls (around 50) when the stallholders must all come from the 2453 postcode area, and that only has a population of around 1000.
We have a young woman who makes the most gorgeous and interesting animals out of felts, a young woman who makes wonderful silver jewellery, and her husband makes wrought iron ornaments. We have many photographers, painters, card makers, and candle makers. We have people who make quilts and lovely gift items. There is the Dorrigo Seed Savers group which sells seeds we have saved ourselves in Dorrigo, which are suitable for other areas like this. We have people who make lovely goat milk soaps, and other creams and lotions, wooden items and glassware. Of course, there are also the local growers and the people who make the most amazing tasting cakes, jams, pickles and relishes. Virtually anything you would find at a high standard craft and food market anywhere will be here.
